“Better Life, Better World” CMU Received the 2020 National Sustainable Development Awards

China Medical University (CMU) is committed to building a low-carbon and sustainable campus with smart education environment. CMU actively engages in long-term care for the elderly, protection for the environment, food and drug safety, diseases prevention, and the care for the local high school and community. With plentiful fulfillment in university’s social responsibility, CMU was honored the 2020 National Sustainable Development Award. On November 25th, Dean Cheng-Chun Lee of CMU College of Health Care attended the award ceremony in the Executive Yuan and received the award from Premier Tseng-Chang Su.

 

The main campus of CMU at Shuinan is the only campus in Taiwan that received the “Building Carbon Footprint Certificate” from LCBA (Low Carbon Building Alliance), and both the “Smart Building” and “Green Building” certificate from the Taiwan Architecture & Building Center. CMU is working hard in cultivating talents, solving medical problems, and teaching and research in the field of medical care. With the spirit of “Better Life, Better World”, President Mien-Chie Hung leads CMU toward a world-class university and committed to make efforts and contribution to Taiwan’s sustainable development.
