Summer Program for International Students to Study in Taiwan

We sincerely invite international students to come and join our summer program. The goal of summer program is to provide a unique opportunity for international students to get a closer look and have a first-hand experience about Taiwanese culture and society. Summer program students will learn in classes with local students, which would certainly allow for interesting cross-culture interaction and mutual sharing of viewpoints.

Introduction of China Medical University in Taiwan

China Medical College was established in 1958, and was expanded and renamed China Medical University (CMU) in 2003. It is the first academic institution in Taiwan where both Chinese medicine and pharmacy programs were provided. The university has steadily grown to its present position as one of the premier medical universities in Taiwan.

Duration of the Program

The program starts from July 2nd ~ July 31st in 2012. Students can choose a 2 or 4 weeks program.


Participants who successfully complete the program’s courses will receive a course certificate.

Housing and living expenses

CMU provides financial assistance for International students who enroll in the ISEP program.

  1. Housing: Students live in hotels arranged by CMU for free
  2. Living Expenses: Each student will receive a subsidy of NT$5,000 per month. (The total subsidy will depended on how long the student is staying)
  3. Field trip: School field trip will be arranged and is free of charge.

  4. Cinema and Social Culture in Taiwan
  5. Introduction to Traditional Theatrical Arts in Taiwan

  7. Introduction to Contemporary Architecture in Taiwan
  8. Volunteer Service and Taiwan Society
  9. Health, Assessment of Eastern Diet and Exercise
  10. Introduction of Acupuncture
  11. Syllabus for Biostatistics
  12. Introduction to Safety and Health
  13. Taiwan’s Health Insurance
  14. Infectious Diseases in Taiwan
  15. Tai Chi
